About Digital 1 AV and Scott Harris
Owner
After a short interview discussing his adaptability between Windows, OSx and Linux, Scott began working in Home Automation around 2006 in Durango, CO. The first week was a crash course, with a pile of Crestron parts and some software links. By the end of the week the office demo was functional, and he soon went on to programming classes and CEDIA courses to learn about smart homes, cabling, and home technology.
Five years later, Scott relocated to Telluride. Between the mix of Fourth of July parades and high country singletrack, he worked in and out of the tech realm, while putting down roots. After several years working with a couple of home electronics firms, he decided to start Digital 1. His plan continues to be using his years of experience to simplify home systems.
Scott lives locally, just a short drive from downtown Telluride and Mountain Village. At home, he tests and integrates home technology that is easy enough for his grade school daughter to operate. When he’s not too busy, he works on art, listens to vinyl, bikes, snowboards, and volunteer DJs at the local radio station.
