Growing up in a family that embraced computer technology early on, Scott had the unique advantage of having a PC at home long before most people even considered it. This early exposure sparked a passion for tinkering with and building home computers, and he pursued this interest throughout his youth. In high school, he honed his skills by studying electronic system design and later explored networking during his early college years.

In 2007, Scott began his professional journey with home automation in Durango, where he quickly learned home wiring and system programming for homes, lighting systems, sound systems, and automated shades. By 2011, he moved to Telluride, collaborating with a smaller startup company on sound systems and TV installations. After a brief hiatus, he joined one of the premier installation companies in town, further refining his expertise.

In 2022, driven by a desire to innovate and excel, Scott left a struggling company to establish Digital 1. His goal is to simplify home automation solutions, drawing on years of experience and a deep-seated passion for technology focused on ease of use.
